Gowri Arakere/ SLP | L11050621 | gowri.arakere@gmail.com 1-443-538-3001 | In the U.S., SLPD stands for Speech-Language Pathology Doctor degree, an alternative to a PhD research degree for practicing clinicians who want to further develop their clinical knowledge base, learn how to conduct clinical research, and prepare to assume clinical leadership positions. The SLPD is an advanced clinical practice degree that's different from the entry-level master's degree in speech-language pathology. Graduates of the program can work as master clinicians, clinical researchers, or university clinical faculty Current SLPD programs in the United States are mostly online and are accessible to full-time working clinicians. It can be a full time or part time academic program. The length of the SLPD program varies depending on the university that offers it. The benefits of attaining an SLPD can be several. To state a few, an individual with a clinical doctorate degree is prepared for and is able to take on leadership positions, teach at a university level, start a private practice, etc. Intention of this study: If a clinical Doctor of Speech-Language Pathology degree is offered in India, we would like to 1) determine the interest and willingness of the SLPs to attain the degree; and 2) survey Indian SLPs, both clinical and university practitioners, to determine if the SLPD degree could potentially provide a service in the practice of speech-language pathology in India. | https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScSkHQWtspdKdCM5WveGlWr8fEMsbXdHrGCJG3MxEfuJ1NAHQ/viewform?usp=sharing&ouid=101572194715311879975 | 30-10-2025 |
